As the seasons change, so may your skin. During the fall and winter months, the weather is typically cooler, and the air is drier with less humidity than the warmer months. Less humidity means less moisture in the air, so there’s less moisture for your skin. Skin hydration is a top consideration of mine because I have dry skin as it is, and the cold winter months can dry out my skin even more.
When the fall and winter months come around, it’s time to think about what changes your skincare routine will need. The most important thing to do when changing to a fall and winter skincare regimen is listening to your skin and what it needs.
Natural oils are great for the skin because they replenish moisture and lock in hydration. These oils are filled with nourishing ingredients that brighten the skin, even tones, and plump the skin to give a rejuvenating appearance. Some of the best natural oils for facial hydration are Argan, Jojoba, and Sunflower Seed oils, just to name a few.

One of my personal favorites is a Collagen and Retinol combination that promotes glowing, vibrant skin, and smooths and refines the skin’s surface while protecting against environmental stressors. I was once told during a beauty consultation that women should start using anti-aging products around the age of 28, but I believe the sooner the better when it comes to preventing aging and wrinkles.
Another secret to achieving hydrated, youthful skin is applying Monoi oil to the face and body. Monoi oil has been a Polynesian beauty secret for centuries and is used to attain smoother skin, and even hair. This skin cream can be used as a daily moisturizer and night cream.

I also like the Island Beauty Balm because it pampers my skin with natural botanicals found in the Tropics and includes a healing blend of Cupuacu, Argan, and Monoi oils. A little bit goes a long way in this multi-use cream, so it can stay on my vanity for months without running out.

Arms and legs need love too! Either before or after caring for your gorgeous face, don’t forget to pay some attention to the rest of your skin. Applying body butter to other dried out areas makes the skin feel smooth and soft while keeping it nourished, too. Soap & Glory’s Smoothie Star Body Buttercream is a luxurious, whipped body moisturizer that gives all skin types the hydration it deserves. Plus, it includes natural moisturizers, like cocoa butter, shea butter, and coconut oil. And the warm notes of almond and vanilla make this body butter even more irresistible.
Transitioning to a fall and winter skincare regimen takes little effort. All you need to do is listen to what your skin is telling you, while giving it the nourishment, protection, and care it deserves. It’s time to pamper your skin by updating your seasonal skincare regimen, and your skin will thank you.
